In 2009, my wife and I took a trip to Niagara Falls. My main purpose was photography, but I talked her into going with me anyway. I expected the falls to be difficult to photograph, and I was right. They give an overwhelming sensation of size and power. It is very difficult to portray that within a picture frame. We spent two or three days there, and I did not take a single picture of the falls.
However, there is a beautiful public park on the Canadian side, opposite the falls. This photograph and Dutch Elm (go here) are made from two of the several negatives I exposed there. Some of my friends laugh at me for taking my camera to Niagara Falls and coming back with pictures of two trees.
